I've worked as a psychotherapist for over ten years and have been involved with ecotherapy for twenty. I've trained with Jon Young (Nature Culture Network) and completed a year-long ecotherapy Certificate with the Tariki Trust. I'm the Lead Editor of The European Journal of Ecopsychology.
My PhD explored embodied knowing in Eco-Paganism and that inspired me to train as a therapist. Nature remained a key theme, and I researched psychotherapy in nature for my MSc Counselling and Psychotherapy. Several years later I joined The Synthesis Institute as Director of Ecopsychology and was a Co-lead Facilitator on their Psychedelic Retreats until 2023. I was awarded the Synthesis Psychedelic Practitioner Training Certificate in 2023. I'm a guest lecturer on the University of Exeter PG Cert Psychedelics: Mind, Medicine, and Culture and work on clinical research trials.
